A Study on Marital Conflict Degree and Conflict Management Method, Conflict Result Perceived by the Housewives in the Early Marriage Stage

The purpose of this study is to investigate the marital conflict in the early stage of marital life. The subjects of this study are 212 married woman in the area of Seoul and Incheon city. The instruments of measurement are marital conflict scale, conflict management method scale, conflict result scale. The data are analyzed through frequency, percentile, t-test ANOVA, Scheffe'-test, Pearson's correlation, multiple regression. The main results are as follows : First, among socio- demographic variables, level of education and income have influence on the maritle conflict. Second, whether or not employment of housewife have no influence on the marital conflict, but a kind of job have influence on the marital conflict. Third, there are correlation among marital conflict degree, conflict management method and conflict result. Four, in the order of conflict degree, family form, level of education, conflict management method have much effect on the marital conflict result.
