The Trends of Research into Subjects on Welfare Consciousness

The purpose of this study was to provide the direction of following welfare consciousness study. A content analysis methods was applied to analyze 48 studies which was from 1945 to 2001 regarding welfare consciousness in Korea. This is a summary of the results. First, Welfare consciousness by time series from 1970 to 2002 was progressive. Welfare responsibility was identified state-friendly, but the additional taxation for welfare system improvement was reluctant. Second, The variables of education, occupation, income and social class were significant in 1970 and 1980. The variables of ideology was important in 1990.
