This research aims to investigate the factors related to communication anxiety affecting the adaptability of international students in Korean colleges. Through this, seeks to understand the current status of international students’ adaptation to college and the difficulties they encounter, aiming to derive educational implications from the perspective of Korean language education. The analysis results indicate that academic, social, and emotional maladjustment among the research participants can be attributed to statistically significant factors related to communication anxiety. Specifically, concerns about negative evaluations and academic failure anxiety, anxiety about communicating with native Korean speakers, and language proficiency anxiety were identified as common significant variables across the three domains. Regarding academic maladjustment, the lack of confidence in academic discourse communication, such as discussions or presentations, is considered a significant influencing factor, while for social maladjustment, anxiety about participating in social situations in Korean has a considerable impact. Finally, in emotional adaptation, negative attitudes towards classes have a significant impact.
