LED 디밍시스템이 적용된 사무실 공간의 조명에너지 절감잠재량 분석

Analysis of potential lighting energy saving by daylighting responsive LED dimming control system in a private office space

  • 3

The usage rate of lighting energy in buildings is approximately 5% for residential buildings and 20-30% for office and commercial buildings. In particular, the amount of lighting energy used in office and commercial buildings accounts for a significant portion of the total building energy consumption, so it is one of the important factors to consider in strengthening the energy efficiency of buildings. In this study, lighting energy savings were measured in individual offices equipped with LED lighting and a dimming control system, and EnergyPlus, detailed building energy modeling tool, was used to model the similar measurement environment. Based on modeling results verified through repeated correction of LED lighting, dimming control system, windows, and shading conditions, the predicted lighting energy saving potential in various shading control situations was examined. For LEDs that perform dimming control, the lighting energy savings rate compared to consumption when using fluorescent lamps is in the range of 60.6 to 64.6%, and compared to LEDs that do not use dimming control, the savings rate is in the range of 32.5 to 38.6%. These results can be used to evaluate the economic feasibility of replacing fluorescent lighting with LED when remodeling a space, and are expected to provide useful information when evaluating the economic feasibility of adding a dimming control system to LED.
