혼합형 글쓰기 수업 사례

Case of Mixed Writing Class: Focused on the Jeju National University’s <Basic Writing>

The purpose of this study is to present concrete case of actual operation of a mixed writing class. A mixed writing class is a writing class that applies the Hi-Edu model. The Hi-Edu model is a mixed of several teaching methods and teaching environments. Meanwhile, the 2024 Jeju National University’s <Basic Writing> course was designed and operated as a mixed writing class that applied the third type of Hi-Edu model, which takes the teaching method of problem-based learning to the teaching environments of flipped learning and distance learning. After actually operating the mixed writing class and comparing it with the case of the 2023 in which the same course was taught as a general writing class, the following differences were confirmed. First, more students took the mixed writing class than the general writing class. Second, the mixed writing class had a higher learning pass rate than the general writing class. Third, students' class satisfaction did not show a significant difference between the mixed writing class and the general writing class. In addition, the instructor's distance learning capabilities and cooperation with companies to ensure the quality of distance learning seemed to be factors in successful mixed writing class.
