Effectiveness of Havruta Classes Using ChatGPT: Focusing on the ‘Early Childhood Curriculum’ Classes for pre-service early childhood teachers

연구목적 본 연구는 ChatGPT를 활용한 하브루타 수업이 예비유아교사의 창의적 문제해결력과 비판적 사고력 증진에 효과가 있는지 살펴보고, 미래교육 역량 증진을 위한 예비교사를 위한 교수·학습 방법의 방향성을 모색하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법 본 연구대상은 E 대학교에서 유아교육과정 수업을 수강하는 2학년 22명이다. ChatGPT를 활용한 하브루타 수업은 첫 주 오리엔테이션, 중간고사와 기말고사를 제외하고 12주 동안 운영되었다. 예비유아교사 대상 수업의 효과성을 확인하기 위하여 사전과 사후에 창의적 문제해결력과 비판적 사고력을 확인하였고, 대응표본 t검증(Paired-sample t-test)을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 예비유아교사의 ChatGPT를 활용한 하브루타 수업은 창의적 문제해결력 증진에 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 예비유아교사의 ChatGPT를 활용한 하브루타 수업은 비판적 사고력 증진에도 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 ChatGPT를 활용한 하브루타와 수업이 미래교육을 위한 예비유아교사를 위한 교수·학습 방법으로 의미 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine whether Havruta classes using ChatGPT are effective in enhancing the creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills of pre-infant teachers, and to explore the direction of teaching and learning methods for pre-service teachers to improve future education capabilities. Methods: The subjects of this study were twent-two second graders who are taking early childhood curriculum classes at E University. Havruta classes using ChatGPT were operated for twelve weeks, excluding the first week orientation, midterm and final exams. In order to confirm the effectiveness of classes for pre-infant teachers, creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills were checked before and after, and then analyzed through a paired-sample t-test. Results: First, Havruta classes using ChatGPT of pre-infant teachers were found to have a positive effect on improving creative problem-solving skills. Second, Havruta classes using ChatGPT of pre-infant teachers were found to have a positive effect on improving critical thinking skills. Conclusion: It was confirmed that Havruta and classes using ChatGPT were meaningful as teaching and learning methods for pre-child teachers for future education.
