한국판 다차원적 공허감 척도(K-MSES)의 타당화

Validation of the Korean version of the Multidimensional Sense Emptiness Scale (K-MSES)

목적 본 연구는 Ermis-Demirtas, Smith 그리고 Watson(2022)이 개발한 다차원적 공허감 척도(MSES)를한국판으로 타당화하는 데 목적이 있다. 방법 이를 위하여 전국의 성인 300명을 대상으로 2024년 2월 19일부터 24일까지 예비척도를 설문자료로 설문을 실시하여 MSES의 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하고, 전국의 성인 500명을 대상으로 2024년 3월 1일부터 10일까지 본척도의 설문자료를 설문을 실시하여 확인적요인분석을 확인하였다. 이 때에, 예비조사의 참여인원이 본 조사에도 포함되었다. 결과 이를 통해 원척도와 같이 한국판 다차원적 공허감 척도(K-MSES)는 총 13문항으로 구성되었으며, 내면의 공허함(5문항), 관계성의 부재(5문항), 무의미함(3문항) 3개의 하위요인을 확인하였다. 먼저 한국판 다차원적 공허감 척도(K-MSES)와 자살사고 척도(K-USSIS)의 상관관계로 수렴타당도를 확인하였고, 또한 한국판 다차원적 공허감 척도(K-MSES)와 한국판 희망척도(K-UHS)와의 상관분석을 통해 판별타당도를 확인하였다. 결론 위 결과들은 한국판 다차원적 공허감 척도(K-MSES)가 개인의 공허감에 대한 인식을 측정해볼 수 있는 유효한 도구임을 증명하였다. 끝으로 본연구에 대한 의의, 제한점 그리고 후속 연구에 대해 제언하였다.

Objectives The purposes of this study is to validate the Korean version of the Multidimensional Sense Emptiness Scale (MSES) developed by Ermis-Demirtas, Smith, and Watson (2022). Methods For this purpose, exploratory factor analysis was conducted on the MSES preliminary scale as questionnaire data targeting 300 adults nationwide, and confirmatory factor analysis and validity were confirmed for 500 adults nationwide. Results Through this, like the original scale, the Korean version of the Multidimensional Sense Emptiness Scale (K-MSES) consisted of a total of 13 questions, with three subfactors: inner emptiness (5 questions), absence of relationships (5 questions), and meaninglessness (3 questions). was confirmed. First, convergent validity was confirmed through the correlation between the Korean version of the Multidimensional Sense Emptiness Scale (K-MSES) and the Suicidal Ideation Scale (K-USSIS), and also the Korean version of the Multidimensional Sense Emptiness Scale (K-MSES) and the Korean Hope Scale (K-UHS). Discriminant validity was confirmed through correlation analysis with. Conclusions The above results proved that the Korean version of the Multidimensional Sense Emptiness Scale (K-MSES) is a valid tool to measure an individual's perception of emptiness. Finally, the significance, limitations, and follow-up research of this study were suggested.
