This paper aims to advance renewable energy cooperation among China, Korea, and Japan by offering strategic recommendations to bolster joint initiatives in emerging energy sectors. The research identifies key challenges hindering collaborative efforts, including insufficient infrastructure, reduced government budgets post-COVID-19, and historical disputes. To address these issues, we propose several strategies: enhancing policy coordination to develop clearer and more specific plans for renewable energy cooperation; establishing a robust cooperation framework to reduce political risks; expanding technological collaboration through the construction of an ultra-high-voltage power grid across Northeast Asia; fostering technology partnerships via Clean Development Mechanism projects; and utilizing blockchain technology and climate crowdfunding to enhance financing options. These strategies will effectively promote cooperation among China, Japan, and South Korea in the field of renewable energy.
