Analysis of content issues related to the unification of the 2022 revised elementary moral curriculum

도덕과는 초등학교의 통일교육에서 중핵적인 역할을 담당하고 있다. 새롭게 고시된 2022 개정 초등 도덕과 교육과정에서도 통일교육에 관한 내용에 중점을 두고 강조하고 있다. 하지만 이와 관련하여 비판적인 쟁점이 제기되고 있기도 하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 2022 개정 초등 도덕과 교육과정의 통일교육 관련 내용에서 쟁점이 되는 문제들을 양적인 측면과 질적인 측면으로 나누어 분석하고 통일교육 관련 내용의 온전한 이해를도모하였다. 양적인 문제로는 2015 개정 초등 도덕과 교육과정과의 비교, 도덕과 내 다른 주제와의 비교 작업으로 구분하여 연구를 수행하였고, 질적인 문제에서는 통일교육 내용의 적절성 여부 판단, 표현상의 문제로 지적된 내용 점검, 통일교육 체계의 완결성 문제를 선정하여 연구하였다. 먼저 양적인 측면에서는 이전 교육과정과 동일한 수의 주제를 유지하였으며, 도덕과의 다른 덕목과 달리 학년군마다 하나씩 총 두 개의 주제가 배치되어 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 질적인 문제의 연구에서는 2024년 통일교육 기본계획에서 추구하는 통일교육의 목표와 새로운 도덕과 교육과정의 통일 내용의 연관성을 확인할 수 있었고, 비판의 지점에 놓인 일부 표현 또한 수용 가능한 것으로 판단하였다. 하지만 통일교육 체계의 완결성 문제에서는 미흡한 지점이 있어 초·중학교 공동연계과정을 대안으로 제시하였다.

Moral education is very important for elementary school unification education. The newly announced 2022 revised elementary moral education curriculum also emphasizes content related to unification education. However, critical issues are also raised in this regard. In this study, these problems were analyzed by dividing them into quantitative and qualitative aspects, and a complete understanding of the contents related to unification education was promoted. As for quantitative issues, research was conducted by dividing it into comparison with the 2015 revised elementary moral curriculum and comparison with other topics within 2022 revised elementary moral curriculum. And the appropriateness of the contents of unification education, expression problems, and completeness of the unification education system were selected and studied as qualitative issues. In the quantitative issues of research, it was possible to see the same as the previous curriculum. And in terms of quality, it was found that the problem of the completeness of the unification education system was insufficient, and the joint linkage process between elementary and middle schools was suggested as an alternative.
