북한이탈주민의 자살문제에 관한 연구

AStudy on the Suicide Behavior of North Korean Refugees : Focusing on comparing the protective role of human support resources by country of origin

본 연구는 북한이탈주민을 대상으로 PTSD경험이 자살문제에 미치는 영향을 확인하고, 이 과정에서 남한 및 북한이탈주민 지지자원의 보호적 역할의차이를 비교 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2023년 ‘COVID-19 이후 한국사회가정폭력 및 정신건강 위기분석과 학제간 융합적 대응방안 연구’에서 모집된남한 거주 북한이탈주민 410명의 데이터를 분석에 활용하였다. 가설검증을 위해 SPSS 21.0을 이용하여 PTSD가 자살문제에 미치는 영향에서 북한 및 남한출신 인적 지지자원의 다중 조절효과 분석을 실시하였으며, 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 북한이탈주민의 PTSD는 자살문제에 정적 영향을 주는 것으로나타났다.둘째,북한 출신 인적 지지자원은 자살문제에 직접적인 효과는 없었으나 PTSD가 자살문제에 미치는 영향 관계에서 유의미한 조절효과를 나타내는 것으로 확인되었다. 반면 남한 출신 인적 지지자원은 자살문제에 직접적인영향을 미쳤으나, 유의미한 조절 효과는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를토대로 북한이탈주민의 자살문제에 있어서 출신국별 지지자원의 역할을 살피고, 구체적인 개입방안 및 실천적, 정책적 함의를 제언하였다.

This study sought to determine the impact of PTSD experience on the risk of suicide among North Korean defectors, and to compare and verify the differences in the protective role of human support resources by country of origin in this process. For this purpose, data on 410 North Korean defectors living in South Korea were used for analysis. To test the hypothesis, a moderating effect analysis was conducted using SPSS MACRO, and the results are as follows. First, PTSD among North Korean defectors was found to have a positive effect on suicide risk. Second, human support resources from North Korea had no direct effect on suicide risk, but it was confirmed to have a significant moderating effect in the relationship between PTSD and suicide risk. On the other hand, human support resources from South Korea had a direct effect on suicide risk, it was found to have no significant moderating effect. Based on these results, we examined the role of Human resources by country of origin in the problem of suicide among North Korean defectors, and proposed specific intervention measures and practical and policy implications.
