Analysis of Domestic Research Trends in Convergent Studies on Nursing Education : A Review of Literature from the Last 10 Years

Purpose : This study aims to examine research utilizing integrated nursing education programs published in South Korea from 2014 to January 2024 using a scoping review method. The goal is to identify trends in nursing education research using integrated programs, provide direction for the advancement and improvement of nursing in South Korea, and offer foundational data for future research directions and methods. Method : This study employs a scoping review to identify trends in integrated nursing education published in South Korea from 2014 to 2024. Results : The analysis revealed 47 papers published from 2014 to January 2024. While research on integrated studies has progressed compared to previous years, particularly with the widespread adoption of the concept of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the number of studies conducted in the post-COVID-19 era could have been much higher. It was found that integrated nursing education is being utilized in various fields, focusing on practical simulation subjects and integrated education. It is suggested that methods for developing curriculum and teaching practices utilizing integrated education should be explored in both practical and theoretical subjects. Conclusion : Proactive efforts are needed to develop an integrated education system that can be utilized in actual nursing settings by transforming the negative aspects of integrated nursing education into positive ones.
