대학 내 성인학습자의 법학교육 참여 경험 분석

The Analysis of Adult Learners' Experience in Legal Education in the undergraduate school

목적 본 연구에서는 대학 내 성인학습자의 법학교육 참여 경험을 분석하고 대학 내 성인학습자 대상 법학교육의 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 수도권 소재 대학에 법학을 주요 교과로 다루는 학과에 재학 중인 성인학습자 14명을 대상으로 FGI를 실시하였으며, 코딩-범주화-타당성 확인 단계를 거치는 반복적 비교분석을 통해 결과를 범주화하였다. 결과 연구 결과 성인대학생의 법학 관련 학과 선택, 법학 관련 교과목 수강 동기, 수강 경험, 학습 성과 등 4개 영역으로 범주화되었으며, 법학 관련 학과 입학은 학위 취득을 위한 사회과학 분야 학과 중복 지원의 결과, 과거의 법 관련 업무 경험은 법학 관련 학과 선택에 긍정적 영향, 법학 관련 교과목 수강 동기의 다양성, 법학 관련 교과목 수강 신청 시 두려움과 기대 공존, 강의를 통한 기초 학습과 토의 및 팀 활동을 통한 학습 강화, 법률 용어 이해 어려움, 실 사례 중심의 교수학습 자료 요구, 법 관련 업무 효율성 향상, 일상생활에서 법 관련 이슈 이해 수준 향상이 주요 내용으로 도출되었다. 결론 연구 결과를 토대로 대학 내 성인학습자 대상 법학교육 운영에 있어 기초교양측면에서 법교육과 전공과목으로서 법학교육의 융합, 동료와의 팀활동이나 토론을 포함한 학습 과정에서 자기주도적 학습 지원, 사전 법 관련 정보 및 다양한 교수학습 자료 제공 등을 시사점으로 도출하였다.

Objectives The purpose of this study is to analyze the experiences of adult learners participating in undergraduate legal education in universities and to derive implications for legal education. Methods FGI was conducted on 14 adult learners enrolled in law-related departments, and an iterative comparative analysis of the coding, categorization, and validity confirmation stages was performed. Results It was categorized into four areas: adult college students' choice of law-related department, motivation for taking law-related courses, course experience, and learning outcomes. The contents include: Admission to a law-related department is the result of overlapping application to a social science department to obtain a degree, past law-related work experience has a positive influence on selection of a law-related department, diversity of motivations for taking law-related courses, and fear when applying for law-related courses. Coexistence of science and expectations, basic learning through lectures and strengthening learning through discussions and team activities, difficulty in understanding legal terms, demand for teaching and learning materials centered on actual cases, improvement in law-related work efficiency, and improvement in the level of understanding of law-related issues in daily life. was derived. Conclusions Based on the research results, in the operation of undergraduate legal education for adult learners in universities, the convergence of legal education and legal education as a major subject in terms of basic liberal arts, support for self-directed learning in the learning process including team activities or discussions with colleagues, and prior law-related information and provision of various teaching and learning materials were derived as implications.
