맹자 심신관계론의 윤리학적 의미와 그 교육적 활용에 관한 연구

A Study on the Ethical Significance of Mencius's Theory of Mind-Body Relationship and Its Educational Applications

이 연구는 맹자의 심신관계론을 현대 윤리학적 시각에서 재조명하고, 이를 교육적으로 활용할 방안을 탐구하였다. 호연지기론과 천형 이론으로 대표되는 맹자의 심신관계론은 존재와 당위의 일치를 강조하는 현대 윤리학에 새로운 시각을 제공함을 논의하였다. 연구 결과, 맹자의 심신관계론을 교육적으로 활용하기 위해 네 가지 방안 을 도출하였다. 첫째, 도덕 교육의 내면화를 통해 학생들이 도덕적 가치와 원칙을 스스로 받아들이고 실천하도록 돕는다. 둘째, 호연지기와 천형에 근거한 체험 학습을 통해 도덕적 원칙을 직접 경험하게 한다. 셋째, 도덕적 주체성과 자발성을 강화하여 자율적인 도덕적 선택을 가능하게 한다. 넷째, 통합적 도덕 교육 접근 방식을 통해 다양한 학문과 연계된 종합적인 도덕 교육을 추구한다. 이처럼 맹자의 심신관계론은 현대 교육에서 중요한 자원으로 활용될 수 있으며, 이를 기반으로 한 구체적인 교육학 적 연구가 요구된다. 33)

This study reexamined Mencius' theory of the mind-body relationship from a modern ethical perspective and explored ways to apply it educationally. Mencius' mind-body theory, represented by the concepts of Flood-like energy (浩然之 氣) and jiàn-xíng (踐形), was discussed as providing a new perspective on modern ethics, emphasizing the unity of existence and oughtness. The study identified four strategies to educationally apply Mencius' theory of the mind-body relationship. First, internalization of moral education helps students independently accept and practice moral values and principles. Second, experiential learning based on Flood-like energy (浩然之氣) and jiàn-xíng (踐形) allows students to directly experience moral principles. Third, strengthening moral subjectivity and spontaneity enables autonomous moral decision-making. Fourth, an integrated approach to moral education seeks comprehensive moral education linked to various academic disciplines. Thus, Mencius' theory of the mind-body relationship can serve as a valuable resource in modern education, necessitating further specific educational research based on this foundation.
