‘온돌’의 교과 연계 적용과 그 도덕 교육적 가치에 관한 연구

A Study on the Curriculum Integration of 'Ondol' and Its Moral Educational Value

본 연구는 온돌문화가 우리 민족에게 사라지고 잊혀져 가고 있다는 문제 의식에서 출발하였다. 그리고 그 해결점을 ‘교육’에서 찾았다. 즉, 자라나는 후속 세대 에게 온돌이라는 우리의 건축 양식이자 정신 문화를 계승시키기 위한 가장 분명한 방도로서 ‘온돌 교육’을 제시한 것이다. 하지만 현실적으로 온돌을 가르치기 위한 정식 교과목이나 교육과정이 전무한 상황에서, 온돌 교육을 실시하는 것은 쉽지 않다. 그래서 본 연구에서는 기존의 교과 교육과 온돌 교육을 상호 연계하는 방식을 제시하 고자 한다. 구체적으로 중학교 교육과정 연계 온돌 교육의 학습 내용 선정 및 수업 프로그램의 개발, 고등학교 교육과정 연계 온돌 교육의 학습 내용 선정 및 수업 프로그 램의 개발을 진행하였다. 이를 바탕으로 온돌 교육이 지닌 도덕 교육적 가치로서 도덕 적 가치관의 형성, 공동체 의식의 함양, 창의적 도덕 실천의 장려를 도출하였다. 이러 한 연구를 통해 미래 세대에 우리 소중한 문화 유산인 ‘온돌’의 가치가 재조명되고, 학교 현장에서 교육적 주제로서 활성화되기를 기대한다.

This study stems from the awareness that the Ondol culture is disappearing and being forgotten among our people. The solution to this problem was found in education. In other words, 'Ondol education' was proposed as the most effective way to pass down our architectural style and spiritual culture to future generations. However, given the lack of formal subjects or curricula dedicated to teaching Ondol, implementing such education is challenging. Therefore, this study aims to present a method of integrating Ondol education with the existing curriculum. Specifically, the study developed content selection and lesson programs for Ondol education linked with the middle school curriculum, as well as content selection and lesson programs for Ondol education linked with the high school curriculum. Based on this, the moral educational values of Ondol education were derived, including the formation of moral values, the cultivation of community spirit, and the encouragement of creative moral practice. Through this research, it is hoped that the value of our precious cultural heritage, Ondol, will be re-highlighted and actively utilized as an educational topic in schools for future generations.
