Study on China's Modern Chinese Character Science and Chinese Character Education

現代漢字란 현대중국어에서 쓰이는 한자로써 古今漢語通用字 및 現代漢語專用字를 의미한다. 이러한 현대한자를 주요 연구 대상으로 삼는 것이 現代漢字學이다. 현대한자학은 20세기에 들어서면서 그 필요성이 점차로 대두되기 시작하였으며, 1980년대에 이르러 그것의 연구 내용과 방법 등이 본격적으로 정립되어 현재까지 다양한 방면에서의 연구가진 행되고 있다. 현대한자학은 한자의 성질과 특징, 현대한자의 속성, 현대한자의 응용을 주요 연구 내용으로 하며, 현실 언어 생활에서의 효율적인 한자 사용 및 교육 그리고 한자 정보 처리 등에 이론적 기초와 현실적 응용 방안을 제공하고 있다. 현대한자학의 주요 분야 중의 하나인 識字 敎育은 중국에서 모국어 문자 교육의 측면에서 매우 중시되고 있으며, 학습 효과의 提高를 위하여 다양한 방법이 연구되고 있다. 대표적인 식자 교육 방법으로는 集中識字法, 分散識字法, 注音識字法, 部件識字法, 字理識字法, 字族文識字法, 字根識字法 등이 있는데, 이는 『語文』 교과서 및 각종 한자 학습서에 활용되고 있다. 이러한 중국의 현대한자학 및 식자 교육의 연구 내용과 방법에 대한 검토를 통해, 우리나라의 한자 연구와 교육에서의 활용 방안을 모색할 수 있을 것이다.

Modern Chinese character is the Chinese character used in Modern Chinese and means the Chinese character in common use in ancient and modern Chinese and used only in modern China. Modern Chinese character science mostly studies such modern Chinese characters. The need for modern Chinese character study began to become influential in the 20th century, and its study content and method had been established in earnest in 1980s. Modern Chinese character science mostly aims to study the properties and features of Chinese characters, and an attribute and application of modern Chinese characters. It contributes to making use of and teaching efficiently Chinese characters in an actual language life. Also it is practically used for Chinese character data processing, etc. Chinese character education, one of the major parts of modern Chinese character science, is held very important in China from the standpoint of an education of characters of one's native language, and now various methods are being studied to raise its learning effects. The content and method of this modern Chinese character study and education in China would be also positively utilized in the Chinese character study and education in our country.
