The concept and Research categories of Korean Classical Chinese pedagogy

한문교육학의 개념은 ‘漢文敎育學’이란 용어를 구성하는 ‘漢文’, ‘敎育’, ‘漢文敎育’, ‘學’ 등의 요소에 대한 바른 분석으로부터 제대로 정립될 수 있다. ‘한문’은 한문교육의 대상을 지칭하는 요소이다. 한문교육의 대상은 漢字, 漢字 語彙, 漢文과 관련된, 텍스트와 비텍스트를 아우르는 모든 언어활동을 아우르는 것이다. 이를 한문 활동이라고 부를 수 있다. ‘교육’은 학습자가 가진 모종의 능력을 신장시키는 활동이다. 그러나 신장시키고자 하는 그 능력이 한문 능력이라는 점에서 한문교육은 여타 分科 교육과 구별되는 나름의 독자성을 갖는다. 한문교육은 漢文과 敎育과 漢文敎育이 총체적으로 고려되어야 하는 특수한 교육의 한분과인 것이다. ‘학’은 한문교육학이 나름의 독자적인 목적과 대상 및 방법을 갖는 체계적 학문임을 나타내는 요소이다. 곧 한문교육학은 한문교육 활동 그 자체가 아니라 한문교육 활동과 관련된 諸般 理論을 연구하는 학문인 것이다. 한문교육학의 연구 영역은 漢文科 敎育課程의 체제에 따른 연구 영역을 먼저 설정할 수 있다. 다음으로 한문교육이 처한 교육 환경에 따른 연구 영역을 설정할 수 있다. 마지막으로 위의 두 영역에 대한 메타 이론적 연구 영역을 설정할 수 있다. 한문과 교육과정의 체제에 따른 연구 영역은 다시 4개의 하위 영역으로 구분할 수 있다. 목표 영역, 내용 영역, 교수ㆍ학습 방법 영역, 평가 영역이 그것이다. 이 가운데 내용 영역은 다시 이해와 표현 교육 영역, 문화 교육 영역, 문학 교육 영역, 문법 교육 영역으로 구분할 수 있다. 한문교육이 처한 교육 환경에 따른 연구 영역에는 漢文敎育 政策論 연구 영역, 漢文敎育 敎師論 연구영역, 漢文敎育 現場敎育論 연구 영역 등이 있다. 한문교육과 인접 학문과의 관계에 대한 연구, 한문교육 활동 및 현상에 대한 인접 학문적 관점의 연구 또한 여기에 포함시킬 수 있다. 메타 이론적 연구 영역은 한문교육의 이론에 대한 이론을 연구하는 영역이다. 漢文科 敎育課程論 영역 이외에도 漢文敎育學槪論, 漢文敎育史, 漢文敎育學史 등의 연구영역을 여기에 포함시킬 수 있다.

Korean Classical Chinese pedagogy is the science of Korean classical Chinese education. The concept of Korean Classical Chinese pedagogy can be defined from the proper analysis of elements such as 'Classical Chinese', 'Education', 'Korean Classical Chinese education', 'Science' that constitutes 'Korean Classical Chinese pedagogy'. 'Classical Chinese' is the elements referring to the subject of a target of Korean Classical Chinese education. The target of Korean Classical Chinese education covers all the language activities related to Chinese characters, Chinese character words, and Chinese writings whether they are text or non-text. This can be said to be Korean Classical Chinese activities. 'Education' means activities for increasing some kind of ability of a learner. But Korean Classical Chinese education has its own peculiarity differentiated from other subject matters education in that the ability it intends to increase is Classical Chinese ability. That is Classical Chinese education is a branch of special education which requires totally consideration of Classical Chinese, education and Classical Chinese education. 'Science' is an element indicating a systematic science having it own inherent goal, subject and method. So to speak, Korean Classical Chinese pedagogy is a science studying not Korean Classical Chinese education activities themselves but various theories related to Korean Classical Chinese education activities. In research categories of Korean classical Chinese pedagogy, the research categories according to the system of curriculum of Korean classical Chinese education can be established. Next, the research categories according to educational environment surrounding Korean classical Chinese education can be established. Lastly, meta theoretical research categories for the above two categories can be established. The research categories according curriculum of Korean classical Chinese education can be again divided into 4 subordinate categories: a goal category, a contents category, a teachingㆍlearning category and an evaluation category. Among them, a contents category can again be classified into an understanding and expression education category, a literature education category, and a grammar education category. The research categories according to educational environment surrounding Korean classical Chinese education includes a Korean classical Chinese policy theory research sphere, a Korean classical Chinese education teacher theory research one, a Korean classical Chinese site education theory research one, etc. Also, this categories can include research on relation between Korean Classical Chinese education and an adjacent science, research on Korean Classical Chinese activities and phenomena from the standpoint of an adjacent science. Meta theoretical research categories are the one studying theories of Korean Classical Chinese education. In addition to Curriculum of Korean classical Chinese education theory sphere, the research sphere such as a Korean Classical Chinese pedagogy outline, a Korean Classical Chinese education history, a Korean Classical Chinese pedagogy history, etc. can be included in this.
