이 연구는 영조대 蕩平政局 아래에서 安東金門의 동향을 살펴본 것이다. 안동김문은 조선 후기 정치와 사상계의 중심에서 활동하던 가문으로, 그 동안 여러 분야에서 연구되었다. 그러나 가문 구성원 개인에 대해 연구가 집중되고 분야별로도 문학이나 사상, 철학 등에 집중되었다. 본 연구는 이런 한계를 극복하고자 정치적 측면에서 안동김문의 정치적 사회적 위상을 살펴보았다. 이 연구에서는 먼저 안동김문 구성원과 다른 가문과의 혼인 관계를 세밀하게 검토하여 당시 사회에서 안동김문이 차지하는 위상을 살펴보았다. 그 결과 숙종 후궁 영빈 김씨를 통해서 왕실과 혼인이 이루어졌고, 이른바 노론 4대신 가문을 비롯해 당대의 대표적인 노론 계열 가문과 혼맥이 연결되었으며, 특히 영조대 후반 탕평을 주도한 풍산 홍씨 홍봉한 가문과의 혼맥이 있는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 영조대 중반까지 역시 탕평을 주도하였던 소론 계열인 풍양 조씨 조문명 가문과의 혼맥도 주목된다. 이들과의 혼인 관계는 안동김문이 당대 사회에서 차지하는 정치, 사회적 위상을 보여주기에 충분하다. 다른 하나는 辛壬義理의 정립 과정에서 보여준 안동김문의 동향에 주목하였다. 안동김문은 당시 국왕과 탕평파를 중심으로 추진되던 탕평과 관련해서 그 원칙은 지지하면서도 방법에 대해서는 비판적인 입장이었다. 정치 의리의 측면에서 안동김문 구성원들에게 가장 큰 관심은 辛壬義理였다. 그러나 의리가 정립되는 과정에서 分等說이 제기되거나 가문 일원을 둘러싼 여러 가지 의혹이 제기되면서 그들의 의도와는 다르게 진행되었다. 이때마다 가문의 구성원들은 이를 해명하거나 변론하면서 자신들의 입장을 관철하려고 하였다. 이 과정에서 안동김문 구성원에 대한 영조의 차별적 인식과 대우는 주목된다.
This study examines Andonggeummun’s tendency under Tangpyeong political situation Yeongjo being upon the throne time. Andonggimmun in Choson latter term politics and thought central by acted meanwhile in several fields study. But, study about family member individual focused, and focus to literature or thought, philosophy by field. This study examined political social phase of Andonggimmun in political side to overcome this limit. First, in this research, examine marital relationses with Andonggimmun member and other family, Andonggimmun examined occupying phase on society at that time. As a result, there were royals and marriage through royal concubine King Sukjong(肅宗) Yeongbin(寧嬪) Gimssi(金氏), and there was marriage with representative Nonon(老論) order family at that time including so-called Nonon Sadaesin(四大臣;4 State ministers) family, and confirmed that marriage with Poongsan(豊山) Hongssi(洪氏) Hongbonghan(洪鳳漢) family which lead Tangpyeong on second half Yeongjo being upon the throne time especially is achieved. Also, marriage with Pungyang(豊壤) Jossi(趙氏) Jomunmyeong(趙文命) family which is Sonon(少論) order which too led Tangpyeong until middle Yeongjo being upon the throne time is observed. Marital relations with these is sufficient to show government social position occupying on society at the time of Andonggimmun. Other thing observed in Andonggimmun’s tendency showing in Sinimuii(辛壬義利;When it is Joseon Dynasty Gyeongjong(景宗), politics faith about political party strife that happened to 1722 from being 1721)’s establishment process. Andonggimmun was critical about problem of way as the principle supports in connection with Tangpyeong that promote laying stress on king and Tangpyeongpa(蕩平派) at that time. The largest interest was Sinimuii to Andonggimmun members in side of politics faith. But, progressed differently with their intention as Bundeungseol(分等說 ; Opinion that divide grade of crime and make pardon) is brought or encloses family member in process that Sinimuii is established and various suspicion is brought. Family members tried to accomplish oneself entrance making clear this or argue in time. In this process, it is noted that king’s evaluation and treatment about Andonggimmun member differentiate.
