'한문 교육용 기초 한자'와 한문 교과서의 字形 비교 연구

Comparison and Study of Shapes of 'The Basic Chinese Characters for Chinese Classics Education' and Chinese Classics Textbook

본고는 2000년 12월 교육인적자원부(현 교육과학기술부)에서 발표한 ‘漢文 敎育用 基礎 漢字 1,800字’의 字形이 한문 교과서에 반영된 양상을 검토하고 여기에서 찾을 수 있는 문제점을 확인하는 것을 연구의 목적으로 하였다. 본론에서는 ‘한문 교육용 기초 한자 1,800자’의 자형과 한문 교과서의 한자 자형에 대해 비교함으로써, ‘한문 교육용 기초 한자 1,800자’의 자형이 한문 교과서에 어떠한 양상으로 어느 정도 반영되었는지의 여부를 검토하였으며, 이를 통해 ‘한문 교육용 기초 한자 1,800자’ 자형이 한문 교과서의 자형에 미치는 규범 정도를 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 한문 교과서에서 제시하고 있는 한자의 자형은 기본적으로 ‘한문 교육용 기초 한자 1,800자’의 자형을 준수하고 있으나, 일부 자형의 경우 ‘한문 교육용 기초 한자 1,800자’의 자형과는 다른 자형으로 제시되고 있음을 확인하였다. ‘한문 교육용 기초 한자 1,800자’의 자형이 『강희자전』의 正字와 동일한 경우, 한문 교과서에서 ‘한문 교육용 기초 한자 1,800자’의 자형을 그대로 제시한 경우도 있었지만, 반면에 한문 교과서에서 『강희자전』의 이체자 자형을 제시한 경우도 다수 있었다. ‘한문 교육용 기초 한자 1,800자’의 자형이 『강희자전』의 正字와 동일하지 않은 경우, 한문 교과서에서는 ‘한문 교육용 기초 한자 1,800자’와 『강희자전』의 자형을 혼용하여 제시하고 있었으며, 또한 ‘한문 교육용 기초 한자 1,800자’나 『강희자전』에서 제시하지 않은 자형도 종종 제시하고 있었다. ‘한문 교육용 기초 한자 1,800자’는 한자와 한문의 교수?학습에서 가장 기본이 되는 한자 자형의 기준이다. 그런데 한문 교과서의 일부 자형의 경우 ‘한문 교육용 기초 한자 1,800자’의 자형과 다른 자형을 제시하고 있는 문제점을 확인할 수 있었다. 이것은 ‘한문 교육용 기초 한자 1,800자’의 자형이 한문 교과서 한자 자형에 대하여 엄격한 규범성을 가지고 있지 않다는 것이 가장 큰 이유라고 할 수 있다. 즉 이미 정해진 ‘한문 교육용 기초 한자 1,800자’가 실제 교과서에서 표준 자형의 역할을 하지 못하고 있는 것이다. 이와 같이 교과서 내에서 제시하고 있는 한자 자형이 표준화되지 못함에 따라, 한자를 교수하고 학습하는 이들에게 혼란과 부담을 가중시키고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해서는 ‘한문 교육용 기초 한자 1,800자’ 자형에 대한 전면적 재검토 및 그것을 규범적으로 교과서에 적용하는 작업이 지속적으로 진행되어야 할 것이다.

This paper was intended to examine the aspect in which the shapes of ‘The Basic Chinese characters for Chinese Classics Education’, published by Ministry of Education & Human Resources Development (at present, Ministry of Educational Science and Technology) on Dec. 2000, were reflected in Chinese Classics textbook. The shapes of ‘The Basic Chinese characters for Chinese Classics Education’ can be said the basis of the character shape proposed in Chinese Classics textbook. However, with regard to comparison and examination of the shapes of ‘The Basic Chinese characters for Chinese Classics Education’ and those of Chinese Classics textbook, No concrete study has not been found yet. This paper examined in what aspect and how much the shapes of ‘The Basic Chinese characters for Chinese Classics Education’ and those of Chinese Classics textbook were reflected by comparing and looking into them, and also studied the influence and norm of the shapes of ‘The Basic Chinese characters for Chinese Classics Education’ that can be confirmed through such examination on the character shapes of Chinese Classics textbook. In respect of the comparison & review of the shapes of ‘The Basic Chinese characters for Chinese Classics Education’ and those of Chinese Classics textbook that described in the main body, first of all, the shapes of ‘The Basic Chinese characters for Chinese Classics Education’ were compared with those of block letters of 『Kangxizidian』 and to decide whether or not they are the same, and the aspect in which they were proposed in Chinese Classics textbook was looked into. As a result, it was found that the shapes of the Chinese characters proposed in the textbook basically comply with the shapes of ‘The Basic Chinese characters for Chinese Classics Education’, but in case of some character shapes, they are proposed in the shapes different from those of ‘The Basic Chinese characters for Chinese Classics Education’. ‘The Basic Chinese characters for Chinese Classics Education’ is the basis of the Chinese character shapes of Chinese Classics textbook which become the most basic standard in teaching & learning of Chinese characters and Classics. In spite of that, it could be confirmed that, some character shapes in Chinese Classics textbook were proposed in the shapes different from those of ‘The Basic Chinese characters for Chinese Classics Education’. This can be said to be because that the shapes of ‘The Basic Chinese characters for Chinese Classics Education’ do not have strict norms compared with the character shapes of ‘The Basic Chinese characters for Chinese Classics Education’. Like this, the confusion of shapes of Chinese characters proposed in the textbook increases confusion and burden to the persons who teach and learn Chinese characters. To solve this problem, it would be necessary to review the shape of ‘The Basic Chinese characters for Chinese Classics Education’ and apply them to the textbook as a norm.
