프로야구단의 수익구조와 매출인식에 관한 연구: 이적료 수입을 통한 기타매출을 중심으로

A Study on the Revenue Structure and Sales Recognition of Professional Baseball Teams

본 연구에서는 키움히어로즈의 선수 이적을 통한 기타수입(매출)을 중심으로 프로야구단의 회계적 특성을 연구하고 관련 경영 사례를 소개하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 키움히어로즈는 10개 구단 중 유일하게 대기업이 운영하고 있지 않은 법인으로서 경영 환경의 특성으로 이적료 수입(회계상 매출, 기타수입 계정)이 지속적으로 나타나고 있고 매출액에서의 비중이 높은 편이다. 프로야구라는 대중적인 스포츠산업의 회계처리 특성과 상황을 통해 일반인이 회계에 편하게 접근할 수 있는 경영사례를 소개한다. 본 연구를 통해 실증분석에 치중해 있는 회계학 연구분야에서 사례연구 주제의 다양성을 찾는 기회가 되기를 바란다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the accounting characteristics of professional baseball teams, focusing on Kiwoom Heroes' other income in sales through player transfers, and to introduce accounting cases in sports industry. Kiwoom Heroes is the only corporation among the 10 clubs that is not operated by Chaebol in Korea, and due to the characteristics of its business environment, transfer fee income (in sales accounts) is continuously shown and its proportion in sales is high. We introduce management cases that allow the general public to easily access accounting through the accounting characteristics and situations of the popular sports industry called professional baseball. We hope that this study will provide an opportunity to find diversity in case study topics in the field of accounting research, which focuses on empirical analysis.
