Exploring the Applicability of Dictorauding in Korean Language Comprehension Education: Focusing on the Comparison with Dictogloss

This study proposed ‘Dictorauding’ as a model centered on ‘reading while listening and reconstruction’ and aimed to explore the applicability of this in Korean language comprehension education by applying it to actual teaching and learning activities. To this end, the ‘Dictogloss’ model and the ‘Dictorauding’ model were applied to two experimental groups and the differences in aspects were examined through a total of eight periods of activities. In addition, the ‘reading while listening’ process of ‘Dictorauding’ was closely observed using an eye-tracking device. As a result, different aspects were revealed in the ‘dictation’, ‘reconstruction’, and ‘analysis & correction’ stages, and implications were suggested in three aspects based on this. It is significant that ‘Dictorauding’ can be utilized as a method to improve learners’ comprehension in relation to text meaning reconstruction in Korean language comprehension education.
