
다양성, 공정성, 포용성(DEI)을 실천하기 위한 미국 대학 단위 한국어 프로그램의 운영 사례 연구 - 웰슬리 대학의 사례를 중심으로
Cultivating Inclusive Language Learning: Integrating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion into the KFL Program
The purpose of this study is to introduce the implementation and outcomes of integrating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion(DEI) principles into Korean language learning throughout the program, particularly in KFL contexts. In the field of Korean language education, the discussion of DEI has recently emerged, emphasizing the importance of learner diversity and inclusiveness. However, there has been a lack of effort to provide a comprehensive macro-level perspective on DEI across Korean language programs- This paper, therefore, offers concrete examples of how DEI can be effectively applied and practiced throughout an entire Korean language program focusing on three key areas within the program: 1) the Development of digital textbooks, 2) Community-based language learning activities connected to diverse local and global communities, and 3) Utilization of pedagogical activities and digital tools grounded in the Multiliteracies Approach.
