模因视角下的少数民族谚语英译方法探讨—以《纳西族谚语——科空》（英译本）为例

Exploration of English Translation Methods for Ethnic Minority Proverbs from the Perspective of Memes: Taking “Proverbs of the Naxi Nationality” as an Example

Memetics provides a perspective for translation practice that contributes to the development of English translation of ethnic proverbs. Exploring the “wall” or “obstacle” in the practice of translating ethnic minority proverbs into English from the perspective of memes, and how cultural memes obtain a carrier and space for survival, that is, how cultural memes in ethnic minority proverbs are successfully replicated and disseminated. This article discusses whether translation memes and cultural memes can be successfully replicated during the translation process based on the English translation of “Proverbs of the Naxi Nationality”. Analysis shows that the appropriate transformation of cultural memes in Chinese English translation is the key to ensuring the quality of the translation.

模因论为翻译实践提供的思考角度有助于少数民族谚语英译的发展。从模因视角探讨少数民族谚语英译实践中的“墙”，即“障碍”以及文化模因如何获得生存载体和空间，即少数民族谚语中文化模因如何成功复制和传播。本文基于《纳西族谚语——科空》（英译本），讨论了译本在翻译过程中，翻译模因和文化模因是否能得以成功复制。分析表明，在汉英翻译中对文化模因的恰当转化是保证译文质量的关键。
