Framework and Application of Peace Discourse Analysis

Language is not only about expressing reality, it also shapes reality. We use language to persuade and influence others, create humor, and express our love for each other. The choice of language can fundamentally change people’s views on the described events. Peace discourse vividly expresses people’s views and concepts on peace, reconciliation, nonviolence, cooperation, and mutual respect through language, writing, symbols, or other forms of communication, carrying complex social, political, and cultural connotations. As a bridge and button of communication, its importance is increasingly prominent. Based on the framework of critical discourse analysis, this article tentatively constructs a research framework for peace discourse analysis and examines the potential of critical discourse analysis as an important tool for peace discourse analysis.
