The Practice of Self-revolution in the New Democratic Revolution Period of the Communist Party of China and Its Contemporary Implications

Self-revolution is a modern concept, but there were already useful explorations of self-revolution practices during the New Democratic Revolution period. During this period, the Communist Party of China explored ways of self-revolution through self-reflection, self-criticism, self-correction, and self-awareness. On the new journey, we must take the self-revolutionary practices of the Communist Party of China during the New Democratic Revolution period as a historical mirror, inheriting the good traditions of self-revolution while exploring effective ways of self-revolution, thus providing powerful means for taking self-revolution to the next level. To this end, we must adhere to Marxism as our guide to achieve self-improvement; adhere to the cultivation of good working style to achieve self-renewal; adhere to the improvement of party regulations and discipline to achieve self-perfection; and adhere to the fight against corruption to achieve self-purification.

自我革命，是十八大以来以习近平同志为核心的党中央，探索出的跳出治乱兴衰历史周期率的第二个答案。自我革命虽是现代话语，但早在新民主主义革命时期就有关于自我革命实践的有益探索，这一时期中国共产党人以勇于自我革命的勇气从自我反省、自我批评、自我纠偏、自我警醒四个方面对自我革命实践方式做出了有益探索。新征程上，我们必须以新民主主义革命时期中国共产党的自我革命实践探索为历史镜鉴，既继承自我革命的优良传统，又开拓自我革命的有效途径，为将自我革命向纵深推进提供有力手段。为此，必须坚持以马克思主义为指导，实现自我提高；坚持弘扬优良作风，实现自我革新；坚持完善党规党纪，实现自我完善；坚持反腐倡廉，实现自我净化。
