Purpose: Entrepreneurial intention is vital to success in running a business and creating innovations. Many studies highlight the influence of entrepreneurial attitude orientation and psychological capital on students' entrepreneurial intention formation. However, until now, it has yet to be known how each indicator of psychological capital strengthens entrepreneurial intention among university students. Therefore, this study explores the role of en-trepreneurial attitude orientation and psychological capital (self-efficacy, hope, optimism, resilience) in strengthening students' entrepreneurial intentions. Design/methodology/approach: This study involved 360 public university students in Surabaya-Indonesia. SmartPLS structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis was used to test the hypotheses. Findings: The findings of this study revealed that the antecedents of university students' entrepreneurial intention include entrepreneurial attitude orientation, self-efficacy, and hope. Meanwhile, optimism and resilience do not af-fect entrepreneurial intention. This study also shows that self-efficacy and hope are proven to mediate the effect of entrepreneurial attitude orientation on the entrepreneurial intention of university students. Research limitations/implications: This study provides important implications for educational practitioners in uni-versities to develop strategic approaches to strengthen entrepreneurial intentions through curriculum development and learning oriented towards entrepreneurial attitude, self-efficacy, and hope. Originality/value: This study fill the gap in the literature to investigate the role of entrepreneurial attitude ori-entation on entrepreneurial intention through hope, resilience, optimism, and self-efficacy.
