Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the cultural convergence and technological advancement of the local tourist marketplace through the lens of regional intelligence and cultural urban regeneration. Design/methodology/approach: The goal is to develop an intelligent strategy and revitalization plan for the local tourism market.The study was conducted using Focus Group Interviews (FGIs) with six experts in the field. Findings: The FGIs were conducted over three sessions from October 17 to 30, 2022, and focused on four key areas; Building collaborative ESG governance, Strategic cultural urban regeneration, Tourist marketplace special-ization, and Development of tourist marketplace DCX. Research limitations/implications: The FGIs resulted in the identification of eight strategic topics and twenty-eight tactical challenges for the intelligent strategies of the local tourist marketplace through cultural urban regeneration. Originality/value: The study provides theoretical and practical implications for creating new added value for the local tourism industry and small and medium-sized merchants by developing the tourism market based on cultural urban regeneration.
