Purpose : This study aimed to assess the effects of a hospice education program on fear of death and perception of hospice in adults. Methods : A one-group pretest-posttest design was used. A total of 30 adults participated in the hospice education program for 32 hours and completed the pre- and post-tests. Descriptive statistics, independent t-test, and paired t-test were performed using SPSS version 29. Results : Participants reported a decrease in fear of death after the hospice education program, although the difference was not significant (t=1.68, p=.106). However, there was a significant improvement in the perception of hospice in the post-test compared with the pre-test (t=-3.80, p=.001). Conclusion : A hospice education program can be effective in improving the perception of hospice for adults. Therefore, such programs should be offered widely to improve awareness and knowledge about hospice.
