Effect of Removing Dental Plaque by Selective Interdental Brushing for Each Area by an Expert

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of removing dental plaque by selective application of an interdental brush by an expert. Methods: A survey and application of interdental brushes were conducted among interdental brush users at a dental clinic in Busan. Results: When an expert's selective interdental brush was applied, the removal rate of dental plaque was improved, which was statistically significant. Conclusions: Application of the correct size interdental brush was found to have an effect on dental plaque management. In order to manage dental plaque on proximal surfaces, it is important to select an appropriate size and use an interdental brush, and it is necessary to unify the size selection standards of experts who educate this and the sizes of each domestic manufacturer.
