Objectives: 3D printing is important in digital dentistry, and it used in various dentistry fields such as dental prosthesis, orthodontics, and implants. Methods: Data were collected using electronic journals and books. Results: The 3D printing method was classified according to the properties of the material. Solid material-based 3D printing methods include FDM and LOM methods, and liquid material-based methods contain SLA, DLP, and polyjet methods. Finally, powder material-based 3D printing methods constitute 3DP and SLS. Conclusions: It is thought that a new dental hygiene curriculum is necessary, which will be easy to understand digital workflows.
