Periodontal Disease Cost Needs of Oral Health Care Programs

Objectives: It is intended to support the evidence for appropriate costing of oral health care programs and to serve as a basis for implementing oral health care programs in dental practices. Methods: The study was conducted on 40 patients with periodontal disease receiving oral health care programs at Yangsan Y Dental Hospital. Results: As a result, Higher periodontal disease grades were more likely to respond to the higher cost categories of ‘70,000-80,000 won’ and ‘90,000 or more’ for oral healthcare program costs, which was statistically significant(p<.05). Conclusions: This study aims to provide evidence for appropriate costing of oral health care programs for people with periodontal disease and to serve as a basis for costing in the design and implementation of oral health care programs in dental practices.
