The Effects of Dental Hygiene Students' Care Efficacy, Clinical Practice Adaptation, and Sense on Clinical Practice Satisfaction

Objectives: This study aims to identify the relationship among the care efficacy, clinical practice adaptation, sense, and satisfaction with clinical practice of dental hygiene students who experienced clinical practice. Methods: Data were collected from March 21 to April 13, 2023, and the final analysis subjects were 184 people. Results: Factors affecting dental hygiene students' clinical practice satisfaction were major satisfaction, care efficacy, clinical practice adaptation, sense, with an explanatory power of 48.8%. Conclusions: In order to increase the satisfaction of dental hygiene students with clinical practice, a “mentor-mentee” program is needed where students can demonstrate their individual abilities, such as care efficacy, clinical practice adaptation, and perceptiveness.
