Objectives: This study examines the impact of mindfulness on job satisfaction and competency among dental hygienists. Methods: An online survey was conducted with dental hygienists in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Daegu. Results: The findings indicated positive correlations between job satisfaction and decentering attention (r=0.315, p<0.01), present awareness (r=0.207, p<0.05), and job competency (r=0.682, p<0.01). Job competency was positively correlated with decentering attention (r=0.205, p<0.05), present awareness (r=0.202, p<0.05), attentional focus (r=0.200, p<0.05). Mindfulness factors influencing job satisfaction included decentering attention (p<0.01) and non-judgmental acceptance (p<0.05), while job competency was significantly influenced by non-judgmental acceptance (p<0.05). Conclusions: Mindfulness positively impacts job satisfaction and competency. Development of institutional mindfulness training programs is recommended.
