지역교육학 정립 방향성에 대한 교육주체의 인식조사 분석 - 제주지역을 중심으로

Analysis of Perceptions on the Establishment Directions of Local Education Studies Centered on the Jeju Area

연구목적 이 연구의 목적은 지역의 고유성에 기반하는 지역교육학 정립의 방향성을 제주지역을 중심으로 탐색하는 데 있었다. 연구방법 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 교원, 학부모, 학생을 대상으로 2023년 9월 11일부터 9월 22일까지 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 총 852명이 참여하였다. 연구결과 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교육 3주체는 지역교육학으로서의 제주교육학 정립에 대해 높은 기대와 관심을 가지고 응원하고 있었다. 둘째, 교육 3주체는 지역교육학으로서 제주교육학 정립의 구체적인 방향성으로 기존 제주이해교육을 제대로 하도록 지원하는 것과 제주 지역사회의 미래를 만드는 힘이 되도록 하는 것을 중요하게 인식하였다. 셋째, 지역교육학으로서 제주교육학 정립의 실천적 과제로서 교원은 제주교육학이 실천 지향적인 학문이 되고 학교현장의 지지를 획득하는 것을 가장 높게 인식하고 있었다. 결론 이 연구는 지역교육학 정립의 방향성으로 실천적 지향성과 이론적 지향성의 병행, 학교현장과의 긴밀한 협력, 지역교육의 특수성과 보편성에 대한 재조명의 필요성을 시사하였다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the establishment directions of Local Education Studies (LES) based on Jeju area. Methods: To do so, the study employed a survey with teachers, parents and students, and total 852 persons participated.The survey was conducted from Sept.11th to Spet. 22nd in 2023. Results: The major conclusions are as follows: First, all the three educational subjects showed their expectation and interest in the establishment of LES, and supported it highly. Second, the support for doing properly ‘Jeju Understand Education’ and making power for future of the community with LES were perceived by all the three educational subjects as the establishment directions of LES. Third, teachers amongst all the three subjects highly perceived that LES should become a praxis oriented study and acquire the support from schools in establishing LES, which would be the crucial tasks. Conclusion: The study implies that it is necessary to consider theory-oriented along with practice-oriented, cooperation with school cite, and the reconsideration of uniqueness and generality as the establishment directions of LES.
