This article delves into the multifaceted human security challenges in Pakistan. It explores economic security issues such as soaring prices, high inflation, and job insecurities in the informal sector. Food security is a major concern with high malnutrition rates despite having sufficient food supply, linked to economic implications and impacting child mortality and development. Health security is hampered by a deficient healthcare system and the prevalence of various diseases. Environmental security is threatened by climate change, making Pakistan one of the most vulnerable regions in South Asia. Personal and community security face issues like extremism, crime, and gender-based violence. Political security is challenged by terrorist organizations, political instability, border conflicts, internal sectarian violence, and other factors like corruption and cyber-attacks. The article concludes by suggesting measures to address these challenges across all security dimensions to enhance the well-being and stability of the country.
