A Study on Convenient Furniture Panel Design Using Traditional Korean Silk Jogakbo : Focusing on Furniture Drawers and/or Doors

This article is to develop various panel design of furniture for the drawers and doors, examining Jinju silk textiles and the recent changes in the silk industry and expressing tradi- tional stock textiles by applying the jig-saw technique, a genre of Gyubang crafts among tradi- tional Korean cultures. In addition, it is expected to be highly utilized because it requires alter- native development due to the phenomenon of fading color when used for a long time, and if developed. Our beautiful silk patches can be easily applied and enjoyed in furniture used every day in daily life. By applying the panel design using traditional silk patches for furniture door and drawer panels that have not yet been used, it is not just a fabric for making traditional clothing, but also a reinterpretation of Korean beauty.
