역할극을 활용한 무역 한국어 교수-학습 방안 연구

A Study of Business korean Teaching- Learning Strategy using Role-play

외국어 학습에 있어 가장 중요시 되는 것이 ‘의사소통 능력’이다. 그러나 국내 학습자에 비해 국외 학습자의 경우 실제 의사소통 상황을 접하기가 쉽지 않다. 그렇기 때문에 학습자들에게 실제 의사소통 상황과 비슷한 유사-의사소통 상황을 접하게 해 주는 것은 매우 중요하다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 역할극을 이용하여 학습자들이 스스로 대화를 만들고 만든 대화를 이용하여 실제 역할극을 하면서 대화 상황과 문화적 요소를 쉽게 이해할 수 있게 하였다. 연구 대상이 된 중국 대학의 한국어 학습자들은 졸업 후에 대부분 한국 기업이나 한국과 관련된 직종에 취직하는 경우가 많다. 그래서 ‘무역 한국어’ 수업을 통해 한국어학과 학습자들이 한국계 회사에 취업을 했을 경우를 대비해 한국어뿐만 아니라 전반적인 한국 문화는 물론 직장 내 문화나 비즈니스 매너에 관한 이해를 높이고자 하였다. 본 연구를 위해 ‘역할극을 활용한 무역 한국어 교수-학습 방안’ 4단계(이해-계획-실행-평가의)를 설정하여 한 학기 동안 실제 수업을 통해 본 연구를 진행하였다. 본 연구를 통해 다음의 다섯 가지 의의가 기대된다. 첫째, 학습자들이 역할극을 통해 정확한 상황 이해 및 인간관계에 맞는 언어문화를 이 해 할 수 있다. 둘째, 학습자들이 스스로 한국 문화뿐만 아니라 비즈니스 매너를 익혀 올바른 한국 언어문화를 습득할 수 있다. 셋째, 향후 학습자가 한국계 회사에 취직을 했을 때 회사 내 적응도를 높일 수 있다. 넷째, 학습자의 능동적이고 적극적인 참여 태도를 이끌어 내어 교사 중심이 아닌 학습자 주도적 수업을 할 수 있다. 다섯째, 역할극을 통해 학습자들의 실제적 말하기 능력을 향상시킬 수 있다. 본 연구는 ‘역할극을 활용한 한국어 교수-학습 방안’을 마련하고 실제 한 학기 수업을 통해 궁극적으로 본 연구의 교수-학습 방안이 한국어 학습자의 말하기 능력 신장 및 한국 문화와 비즈니스 매너를 익히는데 도움이 되는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 한 학기 동안 실시한 역할극을 활용한 무역 한국어 수업을 통해 본 연구는 위의 다섯 가지 의의를 도출할 수 있었다. 도출한 결과를 바탕으로 ‘역할극을 활용한 무역 한국어 수업’이 한국어 교육에서 효과적인 언어문화 학습 방법의 하나로 그 가능성을 발견할 수 있었으며 학습자들의 말하기 능력 향상에도 도움을 줄 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 본 연구가 어떤 단계의 학습자에게 더 유용할 것인지, 언어문화와 말하기뿐만 아니라 다른 영역에는 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해서는 연구하지 못하였다. 이에 대해서는 후속 연구를 통해 밝히고자 한다.

‘Communication competence' is considered most important in language learning. However, it is less common for foreign learners of Korean than Korean native learners to experience real communication situation. For this reason, it is very important to poster and experience real-like communication situation for language learners. To achieve this goal, this study promotes learners to understand conversational situations and cultural elements by learners making their own dialogues and doing role-play with that dialogue. The Korean learners of Chinese participated in the study mostly tend to get a job at Korean companies or companies related to Korea after their graduation. Through 'Business Korean' class, this study aims for learners to raise the knowledge of overall Korean culture including workplace culture and business manners in Korea as well as Korean language. For this study, four steps for 'Business Korean Teaching-Learning Strategy' (understanding - planning - implementing - assessing) are established and used in real classes for one semester. The following five results are expected through this study. Frist, learners are able to understand exact conversational situation and language culture with regard to the human relationship through role-play. Second, learners are able to acquire proper Korean language culture by familiarizing themselves with business manners as well as Korean culture. Third, learners are able to easily accustom themselves in Korean companies afterwards. Forth, by promoting learners active and positive class participation, learner-centered class rather than teacher-centered class can be done. Fifth, through role-play leaners genuine speaking proficiency can be improved. After a semester of the study of Business Korean using role-play based on above-mentioned strategy, these five significant results are drawn. With these results, it can be concluded that 'Business Korean class using role-play' has a great potential in Korean language learning as one of the ways of learning Korean language and Korean culture, and helps learners improve their Korean speaking proficiency. However, this study fails to examine which level of students this study is more effective, and other language skills except for speaking and language culture that this study promotes. The further study is to examine these limitations.
