The aim of this study is to analyze difference of patterns of using cohesive devices for academic presentation and report. Futhermore, I intend to analyze correlation of oral discourse competence and written discourse competence. I collected 20 oral presentations and 20 reports by foreign graduate students. In this study, I analyzed difference of patterns and errors of cohesive devices, and showed the correlation of oral discourse competence and written discourse competence.
