이 연구에서는 다문화사회에로 빠른 진입에 대응하여 최근 2~3년 사이에 대학에서 다문화교육 에 대한 관심이 크게 증가하였음에 주목하고 대학에서의 다문화교육과 관련된 실천을 연구, 교육, 봉사의 3영역으로 나누어 현재의 현황과 관련된 사례를 살펴보았다. 첫째, 다문화교육 관련 연구 영역에서는 1995년 이후 현재까지 이루어진 다문화교육의 주요 주제와 분야별 논문 현황을 고찰 하였는데 그 결과 2006년부터 연구물이 증가하고 있으며 학교에서의 다문화교육 실태나 내용, 방 법 및 교사의 인식 등에 맞추어져 있다. 둘째, 다문화교육과 관련된 교육 영역에서 21개 대학을 대상으로 대학에서 개설된 다문화교육 교육과정을 분석하였는데 그 결과 각 대학마다 개설 현황, 강좌별 주제, 운영 방식, 교수학습 방법 등이 매우 다양하게 구성, 운영되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 다문화교육과 관련된 봉사 영역에서는 K대학에서 수행하고 있는 다문화가정 학생의 학업과 학교생활의 원활한 수행을 지원하고 대학생들에 대한 이해 및 봉사 의식을 제고하기 위한 멘토링 활동과 수학, 영어, 다문화 영역을 중심으로 하여 글로벌 리더를 양성하기 위한 다문화 글로벌 브 릿지 프로젝트 사례를 살펴보았는데 이를 통해 다문화가정 학생들이 학교생활과 일상생활에서의 어려움을 돕고 있어 프로그램에 대한 다문화가정 학생들의 만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 그리 고 대학생들의 경우도 다문화가정과 다문화 사회에 대해 자신을 반성적으로 고찰함으로써 다문화 에 대한 감수성이 높아지는 등 그 효과가 긍정적인 것으로 나타났다.
In this study, it was noticed that the concern about multi-cultural education in university has been increased very much within recent 2~3 years corresponding the quick entering into multicultural society. So, several cases related to the current state was reviewed by 3 domains of research, education, service to explore the practice plan related to the multicultural education in university. First, I reviewed the research domain of multicultural education. For this purpose, I analyze abundant research resources in the multicultural education area, I found the study of multicultural has been increased rapidaly from 2006 in Korea. Also many studies for multicultural education were focused mostly on the realities, contents, methods, and perceptions of teacher. Second, I reviewed the education domain of multicultural education. For this purpose, I analyze the curriculum of multicultural education, run by 21 universities, under the categories of name, topic, teaching method, and management system of lectures as well as enrolling grade, each school has its unique style in providing, and therefore this study tries to point out implications or any benefits of the program. Third, I reviewed the service domain of multicultural education. For this purpose, I explore the K unversity's case, the multicultural mentoring program and global bridge program. Through using interview, many mentorees expressed positive out comes for mentoring and global bridge program. Based on these results, And a multicultural mentoring and global bridge program can not only provide an opportunity to encounter with cultural differences for futher students but also equip them with a self-reflection both on ther own attitude toward children with a multicultural background and on the role of leader in a multicultural society.
