본 연구는 실과 의생활 영역을 활용한 창의성교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 창의성에 미치는 효과를 검증하는데 있다. 이를 위해 창의적 체험활동과 선행연구를 중심으로 초등 의생활교육과 창의성에 대해 이론적으로 고찰하고, 이를 근거로 실과 의생활영역을 활용한 창의성교육프로그램은 7가지 주제로 14차시로 편성하였고, 이를 초등학교 3학년 학생들에게 적용하였으며, 이에 대한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 실과 의생활 영역을 활용한 창의성교육 프로그램을 실시한 실험집단과 실시하지 않은 비교집단의 창의성 점수를 비교 검증한 결과 5%수준에서 유의차가 없는 것으로 나타났지만 사전검사에 비해서 실험집단의 창의성 점수가 비교집단의 창의성 점수보다 더 높게 나온 것은 프로그램이 창의성 향상에 영향을 준 것으로 보인다. 둘째, 실과 의생활 영역을 활용한 창의성교육 프로그램을 실시한 실험집단의 사전, 사후 창의성 점수를 검증한 결과, 창의성의 인지적 요인 전체와 하위 영역인 유창성, 융통성, 독창성, 정교성과 창의적 성향 전체와 하위 영역인 민감성, 집착성, 호기심이 모두 5% 수준에서 유의차가 있었다. 따라서 창의성교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 창의성 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있음이 검증되었다. 셋째, 프로그램에 대한 학생들의 행동 관찰과 학생들의 소감문을 분석한 결과, 실과 의생활 영역을 활용한 창의성교육 프로그램이 창의성의 인지적 요인 중 유창성과 창의적 성향의 호기심, 민감성, 집착성에 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 자신감과 발표력 향상에도 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 따라서 개발된 창의성 개발 프로그램이 학교 현장에서 활용할 수 있도록 학습내용의 보완과 교수·학습방법, 평가 등에 대한 후속 연구가 필요하며, 연구의 적용 대상을 확대하여 초등학교 고학년, 중등에도 적용 확대할 필요가 있다.
The purpose of this study is to assess how creativity education program related to clothing habits of practical course affects creativity of elementary school students. To achieve this, theoretical consideration of creativity and elementary clothing & textiles education has been undertaken with respect to creative practical course and previous literature & thesis. Creativity education program using practical clothing & textiles consists of seven topics and 14 hours in length. The program is applied to third grade classes of S elementary school in Incheon and the results are as follows. First, the difference of creativity scores of the experimental group (of which creativity education program is applied) and that of comparison group (ordinary education program applied) is shown to be negligible at 5% significant level. However, creativity score of the experimental group improved thus the creativity education program had positive impact on students' creativity. Second, comparing ex-ante and ex-post creativity scores of the experimental group, significance is shown at 5% level on cognitive factor of creativity and its subordinate elements : fluency, flexibility, originality and delicacy; and creative disposition and its subordinate elements : sensitivity, obsession and curiosity. Thus, creativity education program related to clothing & textiles area has positive impact on improving creativity. Third, according to the survey taken from the experimental group, positive influence is clearly shown on cognitive factors, creative disposition and their subordinate factors. Also, the creativity program enhanced confidence and oral presentation skill of the experimental group. In order to integrate the developed creativity education program, range of subjects of experimental group should be extended to higher grade students. Follow-up studies on supplementation of content, instruction-learning evaluation methodology are necessary.
