북한이탈주민 대상 한국어 발음 양상 및 인식 연구

A Study on the Korean Pronunciation Pattern and Perception of North Korean Refugees

목적 이 연구는 북한이탈주민을 대상으로 한국어 발음 실현 양상 및 인식을 분석하여 이들을 위한 발음 교육 지원 및 발전 방안을 논의함으로써 북한이탈주민의 한국 사회 정착을 돕는 데 그 목적이 있다. 방법 이에 북한이탈주민 7명, 이들을 대상으로 한국어교육 및 연구에 참여한 전문가 9명을 통한 질적 연구를 진행하였다. 남북의 발음 차이, 남한 정착의 어려움 및 한국어 발음 교육의 필요성 등에 대한 심층면담을 실시하여 교육적 시사점을 분석하였다. 결과 그 결과 북한이탈주민들은 한국 언어생활에 어려움을 느끼고 있으며 이는 ‘한자어와 외래어 사용, 억양 차이, 단어 차이, 언어예절과 화법 차이, 발음 차이, 심리적 위축감’이 원인임을 확인하였다. 또한 북한이탈주민의 한국어 발화 차이는 자음과 음운규칙에서 크게 나타났고 모음은 약한 편이었다. 특히 사이시옷, 구개음화, ㄴ첨가, 두음법칙 등은 북한에서 음운규칙으로 인정하지 않아 표기하지 않고 교육하지 않기 때문에 한국에서의 발음과 차이가 있음을 확인하였다. 결론 연구 결과를 통해 앞으로 북한이탈주민을 위한 한국어교육의 목표와 내용을 구체화하며 실제적인 효과를 높일 수 있을 것이다.

Objectives The purpose of this study is to help North Korean defectors settle in Korean society by analyzing the realization pattern and perception of Korean pronunciation for North Korean defectors and considering pronunciation education plans. Methods Accordingly, North Korean defectors who have settled in Korean society were interviewed to confirm differences in pronunciation and the necessity of education. Since the specificity of North Korean defectors was premised, qualitative research was conducted through the subjects. Results As a result, it was confirmed that North Korean defectors had difficulty living in Korean language, which was caused by ‘Chinese and foreign language use, accent differences, word differences, language etiquette and speech differences, pronunciation differences, and psychological atrophy’. In addition, the difference in Korean utterances of North Korean defectors was large in consonants and phonological rules, and vowels were weak. In particular, it was confirmed that there was a difference from pronunciation in Korea because cypress, palatine, ㄴ addition, and head law were not recognized as phonological rules in North Korea, so they were not marked and educated. Conclusions Through the research results, the goals and contents of Korean language education for North Korean defectors can be specified in the future and practical effects can be enhanced.
