『조선어배우기(러시아어판ㆍ중국어판)』와 『조선어(류학생용)』의 비교 연구 - 학습 대상에 따른 교재의 변화를 중심으로

A Comparative Study of “Learning Joseoneo” (Russian and Chinese Editions) and “Joseoneo” (For International Students) : Focusing on Changes According to the Target Learners

본 연구는 외국문도서출판사에서 출간한 『조선어배우기』 러시아어판(2018, 2021, 2022)과 중국어판(2022), 김일성종합대학에서 출간한 『조선어(류학생용)』(2022)의 비교를 바탕으로 학습 대상에 따른 조선어 교재의 변화를 살폈다. 『배우기』와 『조선어』는 ‘조선어 소유급수 기준’을 바탕으로 제작된 교재로, 가장 최근에 출판된 외국어로서의 조선어 교재라는 점에서 주목할 만하다. 교재 분석 결과, 『배우기(러시아어)』를 바탕으로 나머지 두 교재가 제작된 것을 확인하였다. 그러나 교재의 형식적ㆍ내용적 측면을 검토하였을 때 『배우기』는 재외동포를 비롯한 해외 조선어 학습자를 대상으로 한 독학용 교재의 면모를 보였으며, 『조선어』는 조선에 유학 온 학습자를 대상으로 하고 있다는 점에서 차이를 보였다. 학습 대상에 따른 차이는 자모 제시 순서나 제시 어휘 및 문법 등에서 더욱 쉽게 수정된 양상을 보였는데, 이는 『조선어』가 유학생 대상 교재이고, 제한된 기간 내에 교수ㆍ학습이 이루어져야 하기 때문에 나타난 변화로 파악된다. 『배우기』 간에는 대상으로 하는 학습자의 언어권에 따라 등장인물, 장소, 문화 제시 방법 등에 차별화를 두어 현지화의 특성을 확인할 수 있었다.

This study examines the changes in Joseoneo textbooks based on target learners by comparing the Russian(2018, 2021, 2022) and Chinese(2022) editions of 『Learning Joseoneo』, published by the Foreign Languages Publishing House, with 『Joseoneo (For International Students)』(2022) published by Kim Il Sung University. Both textbooks are based on the “Joseoneo Proficiency Standards” and are noteworthy as the most recently published Joseoneo textbooks for foreign learners. The analysis revealed that these two textbooks were developed based on the Russian edition of 『Learning Joseoneo』. However, upon examining the formal and content aspects of the textbooks, it was found that 『Learning Joseoneo』 is designed as a self-study material for overseas Joseoneo learners, including overseas North Koreans. However, 『Joseoneo』 is specifically targeted at students studying abroad in North Korea. The differences in the target learners were more evident in the sequence of letter introductions, vocabulary, grammar, and other aspects, suggesting that the adaptations in 『Joseoneo』 are due to the need for effective teaching and learning within a limited timeframe for international students. Additionally, the localized characteristics of 『Learning Joseoneo』 were evident, as the textbooks differentiated characters, locations, and cultural presentations based on the learners' linguistic background.
