소아에서의 안경처방

Glasses Prescription in Pediatric Patients

소아에서 발생하는 약시의 80% 정도가 굴절이상이 원인이다. 따라서 굴절이상을 조기에 발견하고 적절한 안경을 처방하는 것은 시기능을 발달시키고, 약시를 예방하고 치료할 수 있는 매우 중요한 일이다. 소아는 성인과 다르게 시기능이 발달시기에 있고, 조절력이 풍부하고, 정시화 과정이 존재하고, 사시가 동반된 경우가 있으므로 안경처방에 주의가 필요하다. 본 종설에서는 소아에서 안경처방에 대한 가이드라인을 제공하고자 하였다.

Approximately 80% of pediatric amblyopia cases are caused by refractive errors. Therefore, the early detection of refractive errors and prescription of appropriate glasses are very important to children's visual function and preventing and treating amblyopia. Unlike for adults, glasses must be prescribed carefully for children because their visual function is under development; moreover, they commonly have abundant accommodation, emmetropia, and strabismus. This review aimed to provide guidelines for the prescription of glasses for children.
