유아교육기관 전이 시간에 마주친 어린이의 삶

The Lives of Children Encountered in the Transition Time of an Early Childhood Education Institution

본 연구는 유아교육기관 전이 시간에 마주친 어린이의 삶을 탐구함으로써 다양한 어린이의 이미지를 생성하는 데 목적을 둔다. 2023년 8월 21일에서 25일, A시에 위치한 하나유치원 하늘반(만3세, 15명)에서 오전 9시부터 오후 2시까지 총 25시간을 참여 관찰하고, 연구자들은 다시-돌아가기/함께-사유하기로 어린이의 삶이 어떻게 펼쳐지고 있는지 이해하고자 하였다. 연구의 결과, 경계를 허물고 새로운 관계를 생성하는 어린이, 우리반 공동체를 사는 어린이, 세계와 함께 침투하며 서 있는 어린이, 중첩의 상태로 세계와 친구하는 어린이, 능동적으로 간섭하며 참여하는 어린이, 세계와의 얽힘에 감각적으로 응답하며 차이를 증명하는 어린이 등의 모습을 만날 수 있었다. 이에 어린이의 잠재성에 대해 계속해서 질문하고 두드리는 과정을 통해 새로운 어린이가 탄생할 수 있도록 경청할 것과, 매 순간 어린이의 행위성을 읽고자 하는 교사의 페다고지가 중요함을 논의하였다. 이를 통해 자칫 교육과정에서 주목받지 못하는 전이 시간도 유아의 삶과 배움이 지속되는 시간으로서의 의미를 가질 수 있을 것이다.

This study aims to create images of various children by exploring the lives of children encountered in the transition time of an early childhood education institution. From August 21 to 25, 2023, a total of 25 hours were observed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hana Kindergarten Haneul class (age of 3, 15 people) located in A city, and researchers tried to understand how children's lives were unfolding by re-turning/thinking-with. As a result of the study, we were able to see images of children who break boundaries and create new relationships, children who live in our class community, children who penetrate and stand with the world, children who make friends with the world in a overlapping state, children who actively interfere and participate, children who sensibly respond to entanglement with the world and prove differences. Through the process of continuously asking questions and tapping into the children's potential, we therefore discussed the importance of listening to the creation of new children, and the importance of teachers’ pedagogy to read children's behavior every moment. Through this, the transition time, which is not noticed in the curriculum, will be able to have a meaning as a time when children's lives and learning continue.
