The Effects of Personality Traits on Career Self-efficacy and Career Preparation Behavior : Focused on University Students Majoring in Hotel & Tourism· Aviation Service·Cruise

The research examines the relationship between individuals’ Big5 personality traits, career, self-efficacy, and career preparation behavior. the study first analyzes how each student’s personality traits impact their career self-efficacy. Second, it investigates the influence of career self-efficacy on career preparation behavior. The goals of the study are threefold: first, to enhance students’ career preparation capabilities based on their personality traits: second, to emphasize the importance of career self-efficacy in improving career preparation: and third, to provide a foundation for college professors to assist in student career counseling. For the analysis, SPSS 22.0 was used. the study employed factor analysis to assess frequency, validity, and reliability, and conducted multiple regression analysis. The results indicate that Big5 personality traits have a partial causal relationship with both career self-efficacy and career preparation behavior. Specifically, conscientiousness among the Big5 traits emerged as a key factor influencing both career self-efficacy and career preparation behavior. Additonally, fctors of career self-efficacy, such as goal-setting, occupational imformation, problem-solving, and future planning, positively influenced imformation-gathering within career preparation behavior. Furthermore, agreeableness and conscientiousness were found to positively influence career preparation behavior.
