This study systematically analyzed governmental rural homestay policy issues from 2008 to 2024 using Semantic Netwerok Analysis through media reports. This research aims to identify changes in rural homestay policies across different government administrations and, based on these findings, compare the policy characteristics, thereby providing fundamental data for future rural homestay policy formulation. To achieve this, Text Mining and Weighted Centrality Analysis were conducted on media reports from the Myung-bak Lee, Geun-hye Park, Jae-in Moon, and Suk-yeol Yoon administrations. The results showed that each administration prioritized rural homestay policies differently. The Myung-bak Lee and Jae-in Moon administrations highlighted rural homestay policies as significant issues, while their importance diminished during the Geun-hye Park and Suk-yeol Yoon administrations. These findings suggest that temporal contexts and governmental policy priorities influenced rural homestay policies. This study provides a theoretical foundation for understanding the continuity and shifts in rural homestay policy trends by systematically analyzing temporal changes in policy issues.
