A Study on Marine Healing Trends through Text Mining and CONCOR Analysis

Marine healing, the importance of which has recently been highlighted, has seen significant development in direct connection with the tourism industry. Beyond its traditional role in medical healing, marine healing also greatly contributes to revitalizing the local economy by attracting tourists and increasing sales of related products, such as cosmetics. This study, conducted under the theme of marine healing, applied text mining and CONCOR analysis methodologies, which are increasingly utilized in tourism research. The results of the study are as follows: First, frequently occurring terms included Wando, efficacy, nature, mind, program, travel, wound, sea, marine healing center, skin, experience, wellness, tourism, Busan, Jeonnam, and composition. Second, the centrality analysis revealed differences between the words with high degree centrality and those with high closeness centrality, with the exception of Wando. Notably, terms such as support, environment, information, and culture exhibited high closeness centrality. Third, the CONCOR analysis identified a total of seven clusters closely related to marine healing, consisting of five central clusters and two peripheral clusters.
