유아의 스마트폰 과사용에 영향을 미치는 어머니 관련 변인들의 상대적 영향력 연구

A Study on the Relative on of Mother-Related Variables Influencing Young Children's Smartphone Overuse

목적 본 연구의 목적은 유아의 스마트폰 과사용에 대한 어머니 관련 변인들의 상대적 영향력을 분석하는 것이었다. 방법 국내에 거주하는 만 3세에서 만 5세까지의 자녀를 둔 301명의 어머니를 대상으로 설문을 진행하였다. 어머니의 애정적 양육 태도, 어머니의 미디어 중재, 어머니의 놀이 참여의 상대적 영향력을 파악하기 위해 단계별 투입 방식의 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결과 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 어머니의 애정적 양육 태도, 미디어 중재, 놀이 참여의 수준이 높을수록 유아의 스마트폰 과몰입 경향이 낮다. 하지만 어머니의 미디어 중재나 놀이 참여의 노력 등이 어머니의 애정적 양육 태도가 전제되지 않으면 도움이 되지 않는 요인일 수 있다. 그렇다고 해서 어머니의 미디어 중재나 놀이 참여가 중요한 요인이 아니라고 할 수는 없다. 결론 이러한 결과는 어머니의 애정적 양육 태도가 전통적 발달 과정의 문제뿐만 아니라 현대사회의 다양한 문제 해결에 주요 기능임을 보여주며 어머니의 애정적 양육 태도를 전제로 유아의 스마트폰 과의존에 대한 다양한 미디어 중재 및 놀이 참여의 노력이 필요함을 시사한다.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to analyzed by selecting mother-related variables on for young children overuse of smartphones. Methods To this end, a survey was conducted on 301 mothers with children aged 3 to 5 living in Korea. A step by step multiple regression analysis were conducted to examine the relative influence of the mother's affectionate parenting attitude, the mother's media intervention, and the mother's participation in play on early childrens smart pones of use. Results The results of this study were as follows. The higher the level of the mother's affectionate parenting attitude, media intervention, and play participation, the lower the child's tendency to be overly immersed in smartphones. However, the mother's media mediation or efforts to participate in the play may be factors that are not helpful unless the mother's affectionate parenting attitude is premised. However, it cannot be said that the mother's media mediation or play participation is not an important factor. Conclusions These results show that the mother's affectionate parenting attitude is a major function in solving not only the traditional development process but also various problems in modern society, suggesting that children's dependence on smartphones requires various media interventions and play participation efforts.
