칼빈의 성경적인 공교회적 삼위일체론과 예배 : 그 신학적 함의를 중심으로

Calvin’s Biblical-Catholica Trinitarianism and Worship : Focusing on Its Theological Implications

본 논문은 칼빈의 삼위일체론이 성경적인 공교회적 삼위일체론의 특질을 가지고 있음을 드러내고, 그러한 성경적인 공교회적 삼위일체론이 예배라고 하는 실천적 차원과 어떻게 연결되는지, 그 신학적 함의를 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 입증하기 위해 논자는 먼저 칼빈신학에서 삼위일체 교리가 가지는 중요성을 칼빈신학의 중심교리 논제를 통해 선행적으로 고찰한다. 그 후에 칼빈의 삼위일체론이 ‘오직 성경’과 ‘전체 성경’이라는 원리에 근거한 성경적 삼위일체론이라는 점을 상술한다. 마지막으로 논자는 칼빈의 성경적 삼위일체론이 공교회적 성격을 가지고 있음을 논구한 다음, 그러한 공교회적 삼위일체론이 어떻게 예배의 본질과 연계되는지를 살펴본다. 결국 예배의 본질이 무엇인지 이해하기 위해서는 무엇보다도 예배의 대상이 되시는 삼위일체 하나님에 대한 참된 이해가 전제되어 있어야 한다. 올바른 삼위일체론이 성립할 때 비로소 예배의 본질이 논해질 수 있고, 동시에 예배를 통해 삼위일체 하나님을 실천적으로 경험하고 알아갈 때 삼위일체 하나님의 정수(精髓)가 파악될 수 있다. 이에 따라 삼위일체론에 있어 칼빈의 개혁신학적 공헌은 성경적 재진술 작업을 통해 마련된 성경적인 공교회적 삼위일체론 이해의 모델을 예배의 구체적 영역에 적용할 수 있는 확고한 신학적 틀을 정립했다는 점에 놓여 있다.

The purpose of this study is to reveal that Calvin’s Trinitarianism has the characteristics of the Biblical-Catholica Trinitarianism and to clarify the theological implications of how such a Biblical-Catholica Trinitarianism is connected to the practical dimension of worship. In order to prove this, the writer first examines the importance of the Trinity doctrine in Calvin’s theology through the Central Doctrine of Calvin’s Theology. And that Calvin’s trinitarianism is a Biblical Trinitarianism based on the principle of ‘sola scriptura’ and ‘tota scriptura’. After that, the writer discusses that Calvin’s Biblical Trinitarianism has a Catholica Character and then examines how such a Catholica Trinitarianism is connected to the nature of worship. In order to understand what the nature of worship is, first of all, a true understanding of the Trinity God, which is the object of worship, must be preceded. When the right Trinitarianism is established, the essence of worship can be discussed and at the same time, the essence of Trinity God can be grasped when practicing and knowing Trinity God through worship. In this context, Calvin has a Reformed theological contribution that establishes a theological framework that can apply the model of the understanding of the Biblical-Catholica Trinitarianism prepared through the biblical restatement work to the specific area of worship.
