다영역작전 수행을 위한 한국 육군의 편성 발전방안: 미군의 다영역특임부대(MDTF) 사례 중심으로

The Development of the Korean Army’s Organization for MDO: Focusing on the US Army’s MDTF Case

연구의 목적은 미 육군의 편성 발전 사례를 분석하여 한국 육군의 발전방안을 모색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 연구는 미 육군의 다영역작전 개념이 어떻게 다영역특임부대(MDTF) 창설로 연결되었는지 논리적 궤적을 먼저 분석한다. 그리고 이를 한국적 상황에 접목하여 한국 육군의 개념인 ‘다영역동시통합작전’을 구현할 수 있는 한국적 다영역특임부대 편성 방안을 모색한다. 연구 결과, 한국 육군의 다영역특임부대는 지작사의 경우, 화력여단과 정보여단을 통합하는 방법이 합리적이며, 군단의 경우는 포병단을 모체로 편성하는 방안이 적절하며, 사단의 경우는 사단 자체가 다영역작전을 수행할 수 있는 편성으로 발전하는 것이 바람직하다.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the cases of the U.S. Army and find ways to develop the Korean Army in terms of organization. The study analyzes the logical trajectory of how the U.S. Army's concept of MDO leads to the creation of the MDTF, and combines it with the Korean situation to derive a MDTF that can implement the Korean Army's concept of Multi-Domain Simultaneous Integration Operations. According to the study, it is reasonable for the MTDF of the Korean Army to integrate the fire brigade and the intelligence brigade in the case of Ground Force Command, and for the corps, it is considered reasonable to organize the artillery groups as a parent, but in the case of the division, it was more desirable for the division itself to develop into an organization that could perform MDO than to create a MDTF.
