This study aimed to examine and identify the management performance of smart farms in controlled horticulture and the factors influencing the management performance of smart farms. And, consequently, suggesting measures to expand smart farms across the agricultural industry by investigating the structural relationship and differences in influence among the factors and satisfaction level with the smart farm. The Structural Equation Modeling using the PLS-SEM was employed to validate hypotheses. Implications from analysis results are as follows. First, among the factors influencing management performance, non-financial management performance showed a larger influence than financial performance. Second, although the innovativeness of agricultural managers does not have any direct impact on the satisfaction level with the smart farms, it was observed to have an influence on the satisfaction level through the mediation effect of non-financial performance. Third, agricultural work capacity is a variable that affects both financial and non-financial performance, which means that support measures are required to improve the agricultural work capacity of farm managers. Finally, there exist differences in the influencing factors between financial performance and non-financial performance. Therefor, support measures the specific items thereof, such as policy targets and support period should be differentiated depending on the details of policies for the spread of smart farm system.
